چکیده

Purpose This study aims to analytically explore the economic role of transfer pricing in a vertically integrated supply chain with direct channel, specifically when it uses cost-based prices, as is frequently observed management practices. We compare two representative methods: full-cost and variable-cost pricing. Although many firms open which affects optimal decision on prior literature has not considered this case. Design/methodology/approach demonstrate results using non-cooperative game theoretical approach. Findings The show that more profitable than fixed cost allocation marketing division low, contrary established position studies, from I select their benchmark Moreover, we obtain counterintuitive result, whereby, firm-wide profit increases allocation. Originality/value considers channel internal chain, while research only one or other. model suggests an choice managerial decisions. In addition, authors positive effect increasing allocation, studies do show. findings have implications for practice by providing insights into design showing should consider competition between channels making decisions about methods.

An Integrated Model for a Two-supplier Supply Chain with Uncertainty in the Supply

The objective of this paper is to study an integrated two-supplier supply chain whose suppliers are unreliable. An unreliable supplier is alternative between available (ON) and unavailable (OFF) states which are considered to be independent exponential variables. The suppliers apply a continuous review policy and the retailer uses an adapted continuous review base on an(R,Q) policy. Transportat...

Considering Pricing Problem in a Dynamic and Integrated Design of Sustainable Closed-loop Supply Chain Network

Flexible and dynamic supply chain network design problem has been studied by many researchers during past years. Since integration of short-term and long-term decisions in strategic planning leads to more reliable plans, in this paper a multi-objective model for a sustainable closed-loop supply chain network design problem is proposed. The planning horizon of this model contains multiple strate...

Transfer Pricing in a Global Supply Chain

We consider one of the most important issues for multinationals, the determination of transfer prices. To do so, we examine the example of a multinational corporation that attempts to maximize its global after tax profits by determining the flow of goods, the transfer prices, and the transportation cost allocation between each of its subsidiaries. Vidal and Goetschalckx (EJOR, 2001) proposed a ...

Impact of Transportation System on Total Cost in a Two-Echelon Dual Channel Supply Chain

The advent of e-commerce has prompted many manufacturers to redesign their traditionalchannel structure by engaging in direct sales. In this paper, we present a dual channel inventory modelbased on queuing theory in a manufacturer-retailer supply chain, consisting of a traditional retailchannel and a direct channel which stocks are kept in both upper and lower echelon. The systemreceives stocha...
